Spinach Smoothie

This smoothie is awesome and tastes more like a treat than something that’s healthy for you.  Seriously, you’ll be surprised. A great way to start the day! Be careful when you freeze a banana though and peel it first.

INGREDIENTS
1 frozen sliced banana
1 Tablespoon peanut butter
1/2 cup 0% Vanilla Chobani Greek yogurt or unsweetened Greek yogurt
1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze (or other kind of milk)
4 cups baby spinach (or more, or less)

DIRECTIONS
Mix all ingredients in a blender and serve.

Perfect Party Sangria

This is a great Sangria recipe and perfect for a little siesta on a warm day!  It’s best when made and chilled for 24 hours.  Also, don’t add the Ginger Ale until right before you serve it.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

IMG_5949
INGREDIENTS
2 cups milk (I used 1%)
2 tbs. canned pumpkin
2 tbs. white sugar
2 tbs. vanilla (not a typo. it asks for tablespoons)
1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup brewed espresso or 3/4 cup strong brewed coffee

DIRECTIONS
This will make enough for 2 people to have a big mug with a bit leftover. If you are having friends over, adjust the recipe accordingly. Add the coffee/espresso and milk to the crockpot. Whisk in the pumpkin, spices, sugar, and vanilla.
Cover and cook on high for 2 hours if everything is cold. Whisk again.  If you want that extra fattening flair like I do, ladle into mugs, and garnish with whipped cream and additional cinnamon.
